According to an April 7th poll from Public Policy Polling, 46% of Mississippi Republican primary voters think “interracial marriage should be illegal”.  No, this is not a poll dug out from 1959……….this is April 7th 2011.  If you add the 14% that marked “undecided” on the poll, you end up with a whopping 60%!   What justification is there for the illegality of a marriage between one man and one woman of divergent skin colors? There apparently remains a sad but not inconsiderable portion of the electorate that considers the partnership between whites and non-whites to be a danger to societal norms.   Add to that……after being shown pictures of  IceT and his wife Coco, Republicans polls shot up to 97%.
