There seems to be some arbitrary line you cross that makes you part of the black or white community.  Here’s an article in the Orlando Sentinel about the “One Drop Rule”.  It appears that most of the US unconsciously follow this “One Drop Rule”.  With the recent debacle involving Harry Reid and his Obama Negro comments, this issue seems quite appropriate.

Hooray for the first lightly brown colored President of the United States.

Obama is not a Black Person

In the past, there was a “One Drop Rule” and it meant that anyone with a known black ancestor was considered black under the law. It did not matter whether a person was 5% black. He was black under the One Drop Rule.
This was a political fabrication in response to a need for manual labor. The USA needed laborers. This “law” was fabricated in order for more people to be considered legally black. This would include the redhead who is 95% white. A purely political agenda.

It was unscientific then.
And it is unscientific now.

We are in 2008. The One Drop Rule needs to be eradicated in favor of more scientifically sound reasoning.

Obama is not a redhead with a 5% black ancestry. But he is not, by any means, “a black person”.
He is as black as he is white.
He is as white as he is black.

WE DO NOT GET TO CHOOSE WHAT RACE HE IS

Obama is not “a black person”
He will never be “a black person”
No matter how much we insist.
That is not how genetics work.

This is embarrassing to the current generation.  The vote should be based on what you believe according to the information you’ve collected; not on the influence of someone’s bribe. This kind of behavior is considered illegal if done to a politician.   Imagine if an official changed his or her vote based on certain favors offered.  Aren’t these the type of attitudes we want OUT of our current political system.

Even in fun,  this video is a shameless promotion of BS ideals and immoral social manipulation.  The more things like this are heard, the more they become acceptable.  The “Rock the Vote”  mission statement is: “give young people the tools to identify, learn about, and take action on the issues that affect their lives, and leverage their power in the political process.” These are the tools we’re teaching them to use?

First hand Experience

My wife and I actually went to one of Scientology churches and sat through a 2-3 hour introduction process. We were not informed about any alien conspiracy or outer space drama, but we were introduced to a process called “auditing”. And we learned a bit about a science fiction writer who started the religion, L. Ron Hubbard. Auditing is described by the C.O.S. at this video link. Auditing seemed to me like nothing more than some kind of psychotherapy. The process begins with a “Clear”, walking you the “Pre-Clear, back through stressful moments in your life. But when details come about that you can’t remember, they let you play make believe. For example, if you couldn’t remember the color of a bicycle that rode in front of you right before you got into an accident, they make the you dig deeper until you believe they can remember the color. It really doesn’t matter what the color was in reality, but you, the “Pre-clear” believe that you remember it now. I asked the lady doing the presentation about the notorious falsities in eye witness testimony. She assured me that this “is all scientifically proven” and that “those sorts of falsities don’t happen in the auditing process.” Phew what a relief! I wish we had “Clears” in the courtroom.

The other big thing that got us were the different Thetan levels you strive to achieve in Scientology. The higher you get, the more you learn and understand. My wife and I have always viewed enlightenment as something that relies on the internal, not the external. In Scientology, you have to either pay or do work for them to make it higher in levels. We were not impressed.

They do an excellent job of selling happiness and making it seem that the solution is there.  Every other religion has success stories and load of believers that tell you how it changed their life. But just because something improves you life doesn’t mean it’s truth. And I’m sure there are thousands of Scientology followers that have had their lives changed and fell better. Look at all the prisoners that have had their lives turned around by the Nation of Islam. Look at all the Jehovah Witness’s knocking on our doors with a sense of purpose and happiness to serve. It seems whatever we believe will make us happier and more fulfilled, will. But truth?

Anyway……it was a fun and ‘different’ way to spend an afternoon with the wife.

And of course check out their arch nemesis XENU.NET. Xenu has published tons of secret Scientology documents and runs a campaign against the organization. It’s a fun entertaining read. And plus….they don’t want your money.

I remember watching this guy when I was 10.  I’d flip over to him in between “Ducktales” and “Rescue Rangers”. He’d tell everyone to “just put your hand on the television screen and feel power of the Holy Spirit flow into you”     This was usually followed by a message based solely on tithing(donation).  He pushed the idea that if you gave to God via “Robert Tilton Ministries”, God will give you more wealth in return.  It’s like a cosmic foolproof investment scheme.  Except in the early 1990′s, courtesy of an ABC undercover investigation, good ole Bob ended up being the more like the Bernie Madoff of televangelism.   The only difference is……..he RESTARTED his so-called ministry and and it currently continues @ http://www.roberttiltonlive.com/.

While I don’t want to mock the Christian faith, I do want to mock this guy.  The videos below were made to do that exact thing.    We felt 3 Brown Star was a good middle of the road rating for the legendary flatulent money grubber……..Robert Tilton.
